With the circumcision dispersed throughout the Assyrian and Babylonian empires, Jesus the Messiah was born in Bethlehem of Judaea. At about age thirty he began to preach the kingdom of God. At the end of his ministry he went to Jerusalem where he was betrayed and crucified. Three days later he rose from the dead and showed himself to his disciples. He then returned to the Father and sent the Holy Spirit to indwell each believer.
